“KaraKu x Kota Nakatsubo” Green Dragon Embroidery Ukiyo-e Flight Jacket
This item is co-produced by KaraKu and the hand-painted ukiyo-e artist Kota Nakatsubo. By incorporating traditional ukiyo-e elements into a modern bet jacket (MA-1 flight jacket), it aims to challenge the current trend of Japanese aesthetics leaning too much towards classical beauty in the perception of "Wa" (Japanese style).
The MA-1 flight jacket features distinctive ukiyo-e style embroidered patches. A large dragon embroidery decorates the back, drawing attention with its powerful presence. This dragon is depicted mainly in pale green in the traditional ukiyo-e style. Its scales, whiskers, and claws are designed with dynamic energy, enhanced by orange flames and accents for a visually striking effect.
A small orange flame embroidery on the chest adds harmony to the overall design.
The lining uses the classic rescue orange color typical of MA-1 flight jackets.
Tailored to fit the Japanese body shape, this jacket offers a comfortable fit and durable texture for long-term wear.

- Fabric Features: Made from nylon with a natural texture that gives a fresh and clean impression. The fabric is dimensional, highly moisture-absorbent, and quick-drying, making it comfortable and breathable to wear.
